Hawes is a small market town situated in Upper Wensleydale in the heart of the lovely Yorkshire Dales. It is the home of the famous Wensleydale Cheese and is an important area for Sheep breeding with Hawes Auction Mart being one of the busiest in the North of England.
Upper Wensleydale is perfect walking country with many marked footpaths. Flagged footpaths to villages around Hawes are particularly attractive. Hawes is situated on the long distance Pennine Way. Fishing, Cycling, Golf, Wind Surfing and Hang Gliding are popular activities in the area. Indoor attractions in Hawes such as the Creamery Visitor Centre, The Dales Countryside Museum, and the Ropeworks are well worth a visit. �There�s always something to do�
The White Hart Inn is an old coaching Inn and stage post dating from the late 16th century.

We offer a good range of bar and dining room meals using local produce whenever possible. We have seven bedrooms all situated on the first floor along with a comfortable TV lounge for residents to relax in.
